Dorothy A Litchfield

East Rochester, NH- Dorothy A. Litchfield, 69, of 42 Grove Street, East Rochester died Sunday Feb. 17, 2019 at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 6, 1949 in Porter, ME the daughter of the late Fred and Mildred (Harmon) Shackley and has resided in East Rochester for 19 years. She worked as a nurse's aid at the Rochester Manor for 20 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Advent Christian Church of Rochester. Dottie enjoyed crocheting and games on the computer and was an avid reader. Members of the family include her husband of 16 years, Scott A. Litchfield; son, Lonny Martin; daughter, Melissa Martin; grandchildren, Tiffiny, Kristen, Matthew, Nicholas, Reilly, Benjamin, Ella; great grandchild, Genevieve; brothers, Rodney, Fred, Walter, Owen, Daniel; sisters, Grace and Mary; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by stepson, Jacob N. Litchfield and great grandson, Ty; sister, Gloria. Family and friends may visit Wednesday Feb. 20, 2019 from 5-8PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rochester Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Wentworth-Douglass Foundation, 801 Central Avenue, Dover, NH 03820.
