ROCHESTER ; Earl W. Cook, 81, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at his home with his daughter at his side following a period of failing health.Born March 29, 1928, in Burriville, R.I., he was the son of the late Ralph and Hattie (Ide) Cook.Mr. Cook was the food service director with Concord Hospital for many years and later at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Earl was a past master of the Masons Granite Lodge in Harrisville, R.I., and a member of the Humane Lodge in Rochester. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Rochester. He enjoyed music and singing. He was a member of many choirs and choruses and most known as a soloist. He also enjoyed volunteering for the Wentworth Hospice. Members of his family include his loving daughter, Laurie Cook of Apex, N.C., her partner, Kathy Moreland, who he loved as his own daughter; two beautiful grandchildren, Noah Lewis and Ella Grace Moreland, whom he loved dearly, of Apex, N.C.; one brother, Ralph Cook and his wife, Ruth, of Pascoag, R.I.;...
