Edith Woods

Rochester - Edith Woods, 90, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Rochester Manor. Born December 17, 1927 to William and Edith Woods. She grew up in Strafford, NH.Edith graduated from Providence Bible Institute in Providence, RI and the University of NH in Durham. She received her M.A. degree from Wheaton Graduate School in Wheaton, IL. She received her doctorate degree in education from the University of New York.In 1952 she went to Taiwan with her twin sister, Francella as missionaries where they taught. Later Edith went to the Philippines and Hong Kong where she served for a total of 40 years. She traveled throughout Asia.Survived by her twin sister Francella Woods, her sister- and brother-in-law Ruby and Robert Costantino, and nieces and nephews.The family is very grateful to the Rochester Manor for their love and care of Edith over the past years.A graveside service will be held for family and friends at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Barrington NH at 10 A.M. on Monday July 2, 2018.Arrangements are...
