ROCHESTER, NH-Edna Jean McDonald, 83, of Strafford, NH passed away on Thursday, November 31st at Wentworth Douglas Hospital. Born July 9th, 1934 in Lynn, MA, Jean was the daughter of the late Howard Augustus and Edna Louise (Booth) Sederquist. After graduating high school, Jean self-taught herself bookkeeping and did accountant work for Lynn Hospital. After moving to Rochester with her husband Joseph McDonald in 1979, Jean worked for the University of New Hampshire. She was a member of the Third Baptist Church of Strafford, the VFW Auxiliary, the Ladies Christian Service Circle, and the Post-Polio Group. She loved word searches, reading, crocheting, music, and singing in the church choir. Jean is survived by her sister Edith Fottrell; her brother Howard Austin Sederquist; her son Steven Dyer and his wife MaryAnne; son Lee Dyer and wife Betty; and her daughter Jodie Lincourt and husband Steve. In addition, she has seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Joseph in 2000, and her sister Emily Sederquist in 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Third Baptist Church of Strafford in her sister Emily's name. A memorial service will be held Sunday December 3rd at 12:00 pm at the Third Baptist Church of Strafford. A spring burial will follow at a later date.
