Edward A Bartley

Rochester NH- Edward A. Bartley, 69, of 52 Temple Drive died Tuesday Nov. 12, 2013 at his home after a period of failing health. He was born Dec. 14, 1943 in Amesbury, MA the son of the late Theodore and Mary (Rochartka) Bartley. Mr. Bartley served his country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1964-1967. He has resided in Rochester since 2003 previously living in Newburyport, MA. He retired from Raytheon as an environmental technician. Mr. Bartley was a member of the American Legion Post # 7 of Rochester NH. He was a proud and faithful member of the Nute Ridge Bible Chapel in Milton, NH. The widower of Thelma A. (Gallagher) Bartley who died in 2012, Rochester; he is survived by daughter, Barbara A. Gilford of Salisbury, MA.; his son ,Michael E. Bartley and wife Bobbie of Perrysburg, OH.;5 grandchildren, Nicole Gilford, Chrissy Gilford, Gavin, Tanner, and Carson Bartley, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Theodore A Bartley, Jr. and sister, Helen Cole. Family and friends may visit Thursday evening 6-8pm at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester NH. The funeral service will be held Friday Nov. 15, 2013 at 1pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Robert Walsh officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Lowell Street, Rochester NH.
