Edward Kean

Rochester & Alton, NH- Edward Andrew (Eddie-Ed) Kean 43, died Saturday Nov. 6, 2021 with his family and some of his best friends by his side. He was born Dec. 22, 1977 in Rochester, the son of George and Brenda (Pierce) Kean. He grew up in East Rochester and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1996. He worked for his father doing foundation work up until his illness 7 years ago. Ed married Sonya McCaffery on April 15, 2000 and they had three children. Eddie loved to hunt and fish with his father and he shared that love with his children. He was with them all when they got their first bear, deer and turkey. He was so proud of them. Ed also loved Disney World taking his family there several times over the last 7 years. Camping was also something they loved doing together. They had many great times up at the Allagash in Maine.Members of his family include his wife of 21 years, Sonya; his children, Hailey, Brandon and Jillian Kean all of Rochester and Alton; his mother and father George and Brenda Kean of Rochester and many close friends. He was predeceased by grandparents, Clyde and Edith Pierce, grandmother, Mammie Bonney and sister Stacy Kean. The family is very grateful to the doctors and nurses at Wentworth Cancer Center; Paige, Sheryl and Gina and all his great friends who helped him through his seven years of his terrible disease. Family and friends may visit Saturday Nov. 13, 2021 from 1:30-3:30 PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH. The funeral service will follow at 3:30PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Ed's family would prefer attendees to wear camo, jeans, Disney clothing or Harley apparel for the service in keeping with Eddies lifestyle. Masks are optional.
