East Rochester, NH - Edward John McCarn, 70 passed away on October 11, 2012 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts. Ed was born on January 26, 1942 to the late Louis and Catherine McCarn. Ed was a veteran honorably discharged from the Air Force on February 6, 1964. He worked many places after this. Finally ending his career with Graphic Services for the State of New Hampshire, and retired in 2007. In his off time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting, but the light of his life were his grandchildren. Ed is survived by his wife Roberta McCarn of Rochester; two sons, Edward C. McCarn of Key West, FL, and Mike McCarn (Tara) of Rochester; his daughter, Robin McClain of New Durham; his brother Louis McCarn of DeLand, FL; his five grandchildren, MacKenzie & Connor McCarn, Zoe & Nathan McClain, and Aidan McCarn; his nephew Pat McCarn (Nancy) of Myers, FL; and niece, Virginia "Ginny" Lawler of Bridgeport, CT. Edward was a loving husband and father who can be remembered teaching his sons and other children in the community hockey, football, and baseball. He always looked out for everyone around him, and he always loved a good debate. He was a wonderful father who cared for his children with unconditional love. A graveside inurnment ceremony will be held on Friday the 19th of October at 11 AM in the Old Cold Spring Cemetery in East Rochester. Arrangements are under the care of the R.M.
