ROCHESTER - Edward Joseph Ronayne, 78, of 197 North Main St., died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Ed White Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., after a period of failing health. He was born Sept. 18, 1931, in Medford, Mass., the son of the late John J. and Mary (Coughlin) Ronayne. He was in the first graduating class of Matignon High School in Cambridge, Mass., and went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. Mr. Ronayne had resided in Rochester for the past five years, previously living in Arlington, Mass., most of his life, where he was a self-employed master carpenter. He enjoyed going to yard sales, bargaining hunting and going to Florida in his RV. But most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.
