Edward David Rowe

Dave, as he was known to family and close friends (or Ed to his work friends and coworkers), passed away suddenly at his home with his wife by his side after a brief illness. He had courageously conquered cancer and other serious health problems in the past few years. Dave grew up in Stratham New Hampshire, in his younger years he enjoyed motocross motorcycles and tinkering with cars with his father. He played soccer and the trumpet in the school band, but soon discovered that playing the guitar was his true passion. Dave and his buddies from school had a band for a short time and played some gigs locally. He was a lover of rock music and taught himself to play by ear and became adept at playing songs from artists such as Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne and even some classical guitar. He had a small collection of guitars that he enjoyed playing until he passed. He earned his degree in Information Technology at Stratham Vocational College and went on to be an IT Cisco Security Specialist. He worked as a contractor at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for over twenty years. He later worked as the primary networking engineer and security specialist for a hospital group in central New Hampshire, traveling between three hospitals. Dave and Robin His wife and partner for over thirty-five years, eventually made their life in Barrington New Hampshire in 1998. They married at their home in June of 2002. Their secluded country home was Dave's solace, and he was happiest when he was there. It was only fitting that his last days were spent in a place that he treasured most. Dave also enjoyed football and rarely missed a New England Patriots game, he enjoyed target shooting for leisure and working on his vehicles. Dave could be counted on to help out family or friends in need. He was predeceased by his father, Edward Rowe in 1984, mother Nancy (Rowe) Harris in 2022, Father in law Keith E. Waite Sr in September 2018, and Brother in law Keith E Waite Jr in December of 2019. Dave is survived by loving wife Robin (Waite) Rowe, step son Royce Claflin and wife Sara, sister Kim (Rowe) Zilch and husband Charlie, sister Wendi (Rowe) Gazda and husband Bill, brother Bill Near and wife Marguerite, niece Morgan Turner and husband Russ and their children, Sister in law Patricia O'Brian Raitt,  Sister in law Kathleen Waite,  Brother in law Brian and his wife Judy, Sister in Law Lorrianne Waite, along with many beloved nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces. He will forever be in the hearts of his family and friends and will be dearly missed. A memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 30th at 11 am at the Harvest of Praise Church of God, 17 Heaton Street, Rochester NH.
