Obituary

Edwin F Brown Jr 77, of Goldrush Ln, Rochester died peacefully in his sleep Sunday, August 30,2026.

Born January 28,1949 in Keene NH. He was the son of the late Edwin F Brown of Keene NH and Emily (Lambert) De Pina Dalton NH.

Edwin lived in Rochester since 2008 where he and his late wife purchased their home. Ed served in the United Army for 22+years, and he worked for the State of NH DOT shed in Rye NH for 20 years. He was also a member of the DAV NH, and he loved helping disabled veterans. Ed was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Members of his family include his wife Kathy Brown of Rochester. His daughter Meredith Perry of Alton Bay NH and sons Eddie Brown of Madbury and Brandon Brown of Newmarket NH. His stepdaughters Cynthia and her husband Michael Brumfield of Ohio and Valerie Higbie of Indiana and stepson Charlie Martin and his wife Karen of Indiana. Sisters Doris and her husband Roy Sabolevski of Swanzey and Karen Berthiaume of Keene NH half-sister Lisa of Massachusetts and sister-in-law Rose Brown of Epping NH

His 3 grandchildren Katelynn Marquis Cole Brown, Galina Brown, Anisha Kramer and his great-grandchildren Starann and Cora of Maine and Aiden and Landon of NH.

He was pre-deceased by his first wife Judy and grandchildren David Harris JR and Brooke Marquis

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, 1 PM – 2 PM at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester; followed by a memorial service at 2 PM.

Internment will be on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 11 AM at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscowen, NH.
