Edwin Newcomb Lowell

Edwin Newcomb Lowell of Rochester, NH passed away on January 25, 2023. He was born in Portland, ME on October 27, 1926. His parents were Elwin Wendal Lowell and Helen Mae (Newcomb) Lowell. Brother and sisters; Arnold, Kenneth, Myra, Erline, and Evelyn. He is predeceased by his daughter Donna Moore and his grandson. He is survived by his granddaughter Leonna and husband Derrick White in Alabama, many nieces, nephews and cousins. After graduation, he enlisted in the Navy during WWII in June of 1944 and was aboard the USS Goodrich as a ship's cook. He was honorably discharged in July 1946. He re-enlisted in the Navy reserves July 25, 1946 until July 25, 1954. Edwin was an arborist for more than 20 years in California. He went to Commercial School of Art. He enjoyed drawing, painting, fishing and hunting. There will be a burial held on May 11, 2023 at the New Cold Springs Cemetery on Crow Hill Rd. in East Rochester, NH. There will be a luncheon to follow.
