Elaine Demers

ROCHESTER ; Elaine E. Demers, 86, formerly of 6 Church St., died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 at the Gafney Home in Rochester.She was born Dec. 31, 1921 in Sanford, Maine, the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Brennan) Demers.Elaine has lived in Rochester all of her life. She has been a longtime communicant of St. Mary's Church in Rochester. She worked for 25 years as supervisor for New England Telephone. She enjoyed Bowling, tennis and reading. She also was proud of being the last class to attend Rochester high School in 1939.She is survived by many cousins.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 8, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Lowell Street, Rochester, NH. With the Rev. Pierre Baker as officiate.Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery following the service.Arrangements are under the direction of the R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S.
