Elizabeth A. Carlson

Strafford - Elizabeth "Betty" Carlson, 70, passed away Wednesday February 3, 2010 at Wentworth Douglas Hospital following a period of failing health. Born May 13, 1939 in East Rochester, NH she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice (King) Douglas, Sr. Mrs. Carlson worked for many years as a secretary for the Barrington Middle School and Annex. She was a volunteer secretary and attended the 3rd Baptist Church of Strafford. Betty was a volunteer at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed bird watching, camping and taking walks. Members of her family include her husband of 51 years Arvid "Carl" Carlson Sr. of Strafford, NH; her children A. Edwin Carlson Jr. of Haverhill, MA; Douglas Carlson of Strafford, NH; and Lisa Bourque of Acton, ME; four grandchildren Aliesha, Kari, and Jay Pierce and Sarah Carlson and one great grandchild Carter Goodson.
