Elizabeth Ervin

Houlton-Me  Elizabeth Nelson Ervin, 43, passed away on September 11, 2018, at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle, Maine. Elizabeth was born March 4, 1975, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Daniel and Sherry (Jones) Nelson.Elizabeth grew up in Houlton, graduated from Houlton High School in 1993. She then continued her education by earning her Bachelor of Science degree in business management at Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire in 1998, her master's degree in Elementary Education from the University Of Bridgeport in 2000, as well as her doctorate degree in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern in 2013.Elizabeth started her career in education; teaching for eight years in Gardner, Massachusetts, seven years as Principal and Assistant Superintendent in Athol, Massachusetts, and finally as Superintendent for the Washburn, Wade, and Perham school district.
