Rochester NH- Elizabeth M. "Betty" Paquette, 88, of 4 Wellsweep Circle, died Wednesday June 25, 2014 at Colonial Hill Center and Rehabilitation in Rochester after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 20, 1925 in Rochester, NH the daughter of the late Ralph Herries and Arleen (Carpenter) MacRae. She was a lifelong resident of Rochester, having worked at Rochester Hardware Store and several local shoe factories. Betty also worked most recently at the Senior Center in Rochester. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church. She enjoyed her winters in Florida with her husband and participated in the "Happy Hearts". She especially loved to go to her grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events and just being around people and going places. The widow of Everest Paquette who died in 1997, she is survived by one son, Roger Paquette and his wife Karen of Milton Mills, NH; grandchildren, Marc Paquette, Brett Paquette and wife Christina, Jill Hilfiker and husband Jeff; six great grandchildren, Brock, Reece, and Wade Paquette, Ian, Nate, and Shelby Hilfiker five brother-in-laws Harold, James and wife Sylvia, Gerald and wife Pauline, Robert and wife Beverly, Paul and wife Tammy, three sister-in-laws Harriett Pratt, Theresa Palumbo and husband Michael, and Judy Paquette, several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit Sunday June 29, 2014 6-9PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10AM at St. Mary Church, Lowell Street, Rochester NH with Fr. Daniel Sinibaldi pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in New Cold Spring Cemetery, East Rochester NH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to SHS Boys Basketball Boosters Club, 14 Davis BLVD, Rochester, NH 03868 or the Rochester Area Senior Center, 150 Wakefield St. Suite 10, Rochester, NH 03867.
