Elmer Elliott

Rochester - Elmer "Sonny" Elliott, Jr., 76, passed away Saturday December 29, 2012 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital following an extended illness. Born June 30, 1936 in Rochester, NH he was the son of the late Elmer and Violet (DeVoll) Elliott, Sr. Mr. Elliott served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He later worked in construction for the Local 976 Union, in addition to owning and operating his own business, Elliott Pools. He was a member of Club Victoire of Rochester and a 35-year member of the American Legion Post 8. Members of his family include his wife and best friend of 41 years Beverly (Davis) Elliott of Rochester, NH; his children Bethany (Elliott) Sullivan and husband Michael of Hopkinton, NH; Jason Elliott and wife Erika of Rochester, NH; Steve Elliott and wife Donna of Milton, NH and Rick Elliott and wife Diane of Lebanon, ME; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, his sister Sherry Phillips of Dover, NH; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit Thursday January 3, 2013 from 6-8PM at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Mains St. Rochester, NH. A private graveside service will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
