Elsie Mae Bernier

Lebanon, Maine- Elsie Mae Bernier, 102, of 411 Upper Guinea Road died Saturday Sept. 10, 2016 at her home with family by her side after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 26, 1914 in Haverhill, NH., the daughter of the late Earl and Lillian (Hartley) Goodwin. She has resided in this area most of her life previously living in Laconia. Elsie retired from the Bell Shop in Rochester. She especially enjoyed watching her sons play baseball. The widow of Samuel Bernier who died in 1983, she is survived by sons, Samuel L. Bernier, Jr. and wife Nancy of Lebanon, ME., William L. Bernier and wife Donna of Lebanon, ME; daughter, Lillian J. Guyer of Epsom and her late husband Harold who died in 2009; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Charlene Bernier of Cornish, ME.; sister-in-law, Helen Goodwin of Laconia; and several nieces and nephews.
