Rochester NH- Ernest Jacques Levesque, 68, of 16 Riverside Drive passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday October 18, 2012. Ernie was born on July 24, 1944 in Rochester, NH the son of the late Sylvio and Viola (Lambert) Levesque. Ernie was a former member of the New Hampshire National Guard and served 6 years out of the Portsmouth Unit. He also was a lifetime member of the Club Victoire and a member of the American Legion Post #7. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his close friends. Ernie always looked forward to playing cribbage on Sunday mornings at the "Round Table" with his buddies at Club Victoire. He was also an avid fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. We know he will be rooting for them from up above. Ernie's lifetime employment was at George and Ed's General Store where he eventually became owner and partner. Ernie is survived by his special love of 18 years, Donnine Smith, his two daughters, Darcy and Jodi "Levesque" Golzbein of Maine; his siblings, Lorraine Lowden of New York, Irene Hervey, husband George of Rochester, Jean Boyle and husband Richard of Florida, Doris Randall and husband Alan of Rochester, Louis Levesque and wife Mariette of Florida, Roger Levesque and wife Catherine of Florida, Lucien Levesque and wife Marilyn of Rochester, sister-in-law, Stella Levesque of Rochester, NH and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Donald and sister Gloria Boyle. Per Ernie's request, there will be no services. Burial will be at a later date. The family would like to thank Rochester Visiting Nurses /Hospice for their devoted and compassionate service during our trying times and also Fr. Paul Gousse of Holy Rosary Church.
