Rochester NH- Esther Blaisdell, 63, of 22 Park Street died Friday May 9, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was born May 13, 1950 in Long Branch, NJ, the daughter of Virginia (Caverly) Varney and the late Albert Varney. Esther was a graduate of Spaulding High School, Class of 1968 and has resided in Rochester for the past 38 years. She worked at Rich's Department Store for 25 years, then onto Rochester and Dover Chambers of Commerce and lastly she worked for McIntosh Staffing Services. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed country music and attending concerts. She especially loved vacationing in the Caribbean. Members of her family include her husband of 45 years Nathaniel "Skip" Blaisdell ; son, Todd Blaisdell, daughter Tracy Morgan, mother, Virginia Varney, all of Rochester,NH; grandchildren, Kyle Forest, Caylin Morgan, Brady Blaisdell, Brianna Blaisdell, Brooke Morgan; her brother, A. Raymond Varney all of Rochester, her sister, Bonnie Varney Lachance of Virginia and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Albert and a brother, Thomas Varney. Family and friends may visit Tuesday May 13, 2014 from 10-11:30am at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester NH. A Celebration of her life will follow at 11:30AM in the chapel of the funeral home.
