Etta Hamel

Dover - Etta Hamel, 80, passed away Saturday August 8, 2015 at Riverside Rest Home following a period of failing health. Born December 5, 1934 in Rochester, NH she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Anne (Emerson) Parshley. Etta was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, spending time with friends, and in her younger years going on snowmobile trips with friends and family. Everyone looked forward to her spaghetti and meatball suppers following the trips. Members of her family include her children Earl Tanguay of VT; Linda (Tanguay) Hartford of Dover, NH; and Matthew Hamel of Dover, NH; her stepchildren Richard "Dick" Hamel of ME; and Carol Pratt of Farmington, NH; thirteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Charles "Eddie" Hamel, her daughter Lynn Rogers, and her sister Marjorie Rodis. Family and friends may visit Friday August 14, from 11AM - 1PM at the R.M.
