Eugene A. Hebert

Hebert, Eugene Somersworth - Eugene A. Hebert, 80, passed away Tuesday March 9, 2010 at the York Hospital in York, ME, following a period of failing health. Born September 29, 1929 in Dover, NH he was the son of the late Adelard and Aurore (Couture) Hebert. He graduated from Somersworth High School in 1947 and starred in football. Mr. Hebert worked for General Electric in Somersworth for 43 years in a variety of positions including Information Data Processing, Purchasing, and Plant Appropriations, among others. Mr. Hebert also served in the National Guard for 20 years in the 3rd Service Battery of the 197th Field Artillery Battalion. At one point during his service Eugene was the Battery Commander, and he retired as a Captain after 20 years of service. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Somersworth, and a member of the Knights of Columbus 2078.
