Evelyn A. Evans Blanchette, 95, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026. She was born March 30, 1931, in Rochester N.H. Daughter of the late Eleanor Evans.

Evelyn resided in Rochester all her life and worked in area shoe shops and the former IMC. She was a past president of the Emblem Club #40.

She loved playing and taking care of her Grand, Great and Great-Great Grandchildren.

Evelyn was the widow of the late Paul Blanchette. Members of her family include Cheryl Perron, Paulynn Allen, Glenn Blanchette and his wife Robin, Donald Blanchette and his wife Kathy, Sue St. Cyr, Elaine Gorham and husband Ed, Tom Blanchette and his wife Lisa. Several Nieces and Nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her mother Eleanor Evans and her sons-in-laws, Peter Allen, George Perron and Dennis St. Cyr.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH 03867, and a funeral will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11 AM at the Funeral Home.

Evelyn will be buried at the Rochester Cemetery, which will be announced at a later time.
