Evelyn Cormier, 94, died Monday October 24, 2022 at Langdon Place in Dover with her son holding her hand. She was surrounded by family over the past few weeks, all of whom kept vigil while she completed her transition.
She was born in Lewiston, Maine on March 13, 1928, the daughter of George and Flora (Murdoch) Clark. She was the widow of Rudo Cormier.
Survivors include: her son, Rudy R. Cormier and his wife, Patricia Finnegan, her two grandsons, Michael Cormier and his wife Karen, and Matthew Cormier and his wife Shanna. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Samantha, Colby, Emma, Jack and Wesley.
Evelyn was an excellent quilter. She lovingly created handmade quilts for her family. She was part of a small group of quilters who met at each other's homes once a week for over 30 years to sew and enjoy each other's company. The ladies became fast friends and enjoyed traveling to quilt shows together.
