Evelyn Maxfield

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Evelyn (Nana) Maxfield (94). She left us peacefully on Friday January 10, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was born in Somerville, M.A. on March 8, 1930 and is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Armand (Maxie) Maxfield whom she married in 1950, her parents Daniel and Molly (Keane) Dolan, and her sister Dorothy Rogers.
Evelyn was a long- time resident of Rochester, N.H., living in her Hale Street home for over 70 years. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband before his passing and carried on the tradition with her granddaughters traveling to Barbados and Niagara Falls. She also loved dancing and spending summers with her Niece Niki on Martha’s Vineyard.
Evelyn leaves behind her son Daniel Maxfield, daughter in law Joyce Maxfield, her grandchildren Kim Ayer and husband Christian Ayer, Rebecca Maxfield, Shelley Maxfield, Kelin Dickerson, and Niece Niki McGettigan and family.
Funeral services will be held at R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral home in Rochester on Saturday January, 18 from 10 to noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wentworth Douglass Hospital Heart Failure Clinic https://giving.wdhospital.org/
