Evelyn B. O'Neil

Evelyn (Evie) B. O'Neil, 83, died Wed. Mar. 6, 2024 in Rochester. She was born in Lynn, MA. Apr. 6, 1940 the daughter of Dominic and Ruth (Berry) Cennami. She Married Francis O'Neil in 1958 and spent the next 21 years of his US Air Force career by his side as his beloved military spouse. Raising their five children, they traveled from air base to air base until Frank retired in NH in the mid 70's. Evelyn was a member of the Trinity Anglican Church in Rochester where she was an altar guild member and volunteered at the church thrift store. She was also a member of the VFW Post 1772 Women's Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 7 Women's Auxiliary in Rochester. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, Dominic and Ruth (Berry) Cennami, her sister, Ruthie (Cennami) Mitchell, her brother, Donley Cennami, and her son, Michael O'Neil. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Frank O'Neil, daughter Cathy (O'Neil) Burnett and her husband Steve of Nottingham, son, Mark O'Neil and his wife, Tammy of Parsonfield, ME, her daughter Cheryl O'Neil and Pat Norton of Kittery, ME, her son, Brian O'Neil of Rochester, and her daughter, Roxanne (McCarthy) O'Neil of Rochester. Fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation Tues Mar. 12 from 4 to 6 PM at R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home with a Service to start at 5:30 PM. Burial will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH 2:00 PM Wed. Mar. 13, 2024
