Rochester, NH- Everett W. "Tink" Hersom, 96, passed away Saturday Dec. 17, 2016 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital . He was born May 4, 1920 in Rochester, NH, the son of the late Chester and Ethel (Ellis) Hersom. He was a lifelong resident of Rochester and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked many years at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a mechanic. Tink enjoyed wood carving and playing pool. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #7 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Members of his family include his wife of 69 years, Louise Hersom; son, Charles Hersom and wife Patricia; grandsons, Christopher Hersom and wife Brittney, Craig Hersom; great grandson, Sawyer Hersom; niece Linda Nylund; nephew David Hersom. He was predeceased by brothers, Clarence, Robert, Nelson, Herbert and sister, Ruby Manson. At his request there will be no services. Arrangements are under the care of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH.
