Florence Gaulin

ROCHESTER - Florence May Gaulin, 96, of 20 Crockett St., died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover.Born June 16, 1913, in Lebanon, Maine. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Adelaide (Bumford) Mace.Florence's hobbies included tending her flower garden, feeding the birds and the enjoyment of her beloved cat.She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Gaulin, her sister, Alice Webber, and stepsister, Marjorie (Rodgers) Staples.She is survived by three sons, Thomas Gaulin and wife Sandra of Milton, Robert Gaulin of Amherst, N.H., and Richard Gaulin of Rochester, and three daughters, Celina Merrill and husband Richard of Florida, Jeanne Treble of New Hampshire and Florida, and Lorraine Marble and husband Francis of Georgia. Also, 13 grandchildren, (predeceased by one grandchild) 17 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.There are no calling hours.A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the St. Charles Cemetery, Old Rochester Road, Dover, NH.
