Rochester NH- Florence E. Lamper, 84, died peacefully Saturday July 20, 2013 in Rochester after a short illness. Born in Auburn, MA on June 19, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Lotta E. (Hall) Hill and George B. Hill. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Bernard on June 7, 2007. In the early years of her marriage she was a hairdresser at Rosalies Beauty Shop in Rochester NH. Florence was involved with Lamper Hardware, owned and operated by herself and her husband. They went on to purchase the Royal Holiday Beach Motel on Daytona Beach FL. which they operated until January 1990. After selling the motel, Florence wintered in Daytona Beach, FL and summered in Rochester, NH. She enjoyed traveling, dancing with her husband, and was an avid card player. She also liked doing crossword puzzles and reading a good book. Members of her family include her three children; Sharon Lamper Holladay and her husband John William and their two sons, Steven and Michael; Rebecca Lamper Whitcher and her husband David; David Lamper and his wife Marcy and his three children, Tracy Lamper, Holly Lamper Rousseau and David Lamper Jr. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph, John, Donald and George, Jr. Hill. Family and friends may visit Wednesday July 24, 2013 5-7PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester NH. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 10AM in the Rochester Cemetery, Franklin Street, Rochester NH.
