Francis J. Cox, 95, died Thursday Jan. 2, 2025 at his home with family by his side.
He was born in Rochester on Aug. 14, 1929 the son of Lester and Angie (Garnett) Cox.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War Stationed in Germany.
He had been employed at Simplex Wire and Cable.
Francis was very involved in Scouting serving as Scout Master to Troup 175, he was also VP of East Rochester Baseball Assn. for many years. He played Semipro Baseball in the Sunset League.
He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie Cox and 2 brothers Harold and Alvah Cox
Survivors include nephew Stephen D. Horne, niece Charlotte Wright, great-nephews Robert L. Horne and Stephen L. Horne, great great-nephews Robert L. Horne Jr., Matthew T. Gaw, Jareth K. Horne, Auryn C. Horne, and great great-niece Willow A. Horne.
Friends may call Sat. Jan. 11 from 2 to 4 PM at the R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home 86 South Main St. Rochester, NH. Burial will be in the spring in Pine Grove Cemetery, Farmington NH. With military Honors.
