Francis Weeks

ROCHESTER Francis O. Weeks, 76, of 4 Lisa Lane, died Friday Nov. 27, 2009 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.Born Oct. 6, 1933 in Laconia, he was the son of the late Alton and Ruth (Munsey) Weeks.Mr. Weeks has lived in Rochester for the past seven years after moving from Dover, where he had lived since 1950. He served in the United Sates Army during the Korean War. He was a graduate of UNH with a bachelor's degree in economics. After college he entered the apprentice program at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, and in the 1960s, moved to the computer department, where he worked until his retirement. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.He is survived by his wife, Candace (Parker) Weeks of Rochester; his daughters, Linda Weeks of Homer, Alaska, Jane Weeks of Truckee, Calif., Jill Chasse and her husband John of South Berwick, Maine, and Wendy (Beal) Maquera and her husband Andre of Fairfield Vt.; his grandchildren, Amber Coila, Dalton and Will Hosken, and Andre D. Maquera. He was predeceased by his brothers Alton and Burnham.Calling hours will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon, with a funeral service to be held at noon in the chapel of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., Rochester NH 03867.
