Frederick C Cornock

Rochester - Frederick C. Cornock, 84, of Rochester, NH passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at home with his Loving family by his side. He was born in Lowell, MA. He was the son of the late Frederick A. and Catherine S. Cornock. He was raised in Dracut, MA where he attended local schools. In 1946, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an apprentice Seaman. He served until 1948. He worked for Pratt & Whitney in CT and Maine for 36 years, retiring in 1989. He belonged to the Great Bay Yacht Club and was an avid sailor with a great passion for sail boats. He will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Patricia MacDonald, Betty Jane Merza both of CT, and two sons, Frederick Cornock of FL and Robert Cornock of NH; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Perley of Dracut, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his loving companion of thirty years, Maureen Hoyt. Fred was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Kramer; two brothers, Douglas Cornock and Richard Cornock. Special thanks to "The Wendys Crew', caring neighbors, and his special hospice nurses from Cornerstone VNA. Visitation will be held at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH 03867 on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 12 PM to 2PM. The funeral service will take place at 2PM. A private burial will take place at a later date.
