Gail Susan (Taylor) Martin passed away peacefully at home on May 22, 2021 surrounded by her family and best friend. Gail was born on January 11, 1953, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth (Babb) Taylor. Gail grew up in Rochester, NH and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1971. She worked in the local shoe industry for many years and became the Footwear Developer at Timberland which included extensive travel to Asia and Europe. Gail walked away from Timberland and went back to college to pursue her dream of teaching. She became a well-respected teacher in the Rochester School system and retired from the Gonic School in 2020. Gail enjoyed gardening, volunteering at Roger Allen Park and vacationing with family Mark and Patty Taylor and Mike and Cathie Taylor. Gail was a member of the Rochester Elks Lodge #1393 where she also loved volunteering her time to community efforts. Gail is survived by her husband of 48 years Don, daughter Alexis and her husband Mike Barrington and step-son Jacob, son Dallas, his wife Isabelle and their children Alexza and Leonardo. She is also survived by her sister Lori Taylor, brother Mike  Taylorand his wife Cathie, sister in law and best friend Patty Taylor, sister in law Ada Taylor as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Ruth as well as her brothers John and Mark Taylor. The family would like to thank Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and Wentworth Homecare & Hospice for all the care and kindness they provided. There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Donations can be made in Gail's memory to Pope Memorial Human Society Cocheco Valley.
