DOVER---Genoveffa M. Lambert passed away Sunday, August 15 at St. Ann Nursing Home in Dover. She was 103 years old. Genoveffa was born in Capodacqua, Italy. She was the daughter of Luigi and Teresa DiMambro . She came to the United States in 1935 at the age of 17. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland Lambert in 1960, a step-son, Richard Lambert, her parents and her five brothers, Austin, Vincent, Marino, Bob, and Rudy DiMambro and a sister, Mary Pulire. She worked as a housekeeper upon arrival in the United States and later worked at Clarostat Manufacturing and local shoe shops. She moved to Cochecho Park in Dover after her retirement and was known as her the building's decorator extraordinaire, especially at Christmas. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was happiest with a baby in her arms. She called them all "angel faces" and often could be heard singing "A Bushel and a Peck" to them. She loved crafting ornaments and gifting them to family and friends. Gina lived her life to the fullest for over 103 years and reminded all around her that in the end all that matters is your faith, your family and your friends. If you have all those, she believed, you are blessed beyond measure. Heaven has gained one special angel and we are sure others are rejoicing with her now. She is survived by three daughters, Rachel Chick, husband Wayne, of Rochester; Genevieve Hogan, husband Patrick, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania; Donna Potter, husband Steve, of Somersworth; and a step-son, Roland Lambert , wife Renoo, of Jacksonville, N. C., in addition to eight grandchildren, Gina Cruikshank of Dover, Stephanie Bolduc of Dover, Keith Chick of Somersworth, Maureen Hogan Lake of Texas, Patrick Hogan of Virginia, Eric Potter of Barrington, Christie Leclair of Rochester, Brigitte of Virginia, eleven great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10 am at St. Martin Church in Somersworth. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Ann Nursing Home, Activities Department, 195 Dover Point Rd., Dover, NH 03820. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home.
