DOVER---Genoveffa M. Lambert passed away Sunday, August 15 at St. Ann Nursing Home in Dover. She was 103 years old.
Genoveffa was born in Capodacqua, Italy. She was the daughter of Luigi and Teresa DiMambro . She came to the United States in 1935 at the age of 17. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland Lambert in 1960, a step-son, Richard Lambert, her parents and her five brothers, Austin, Vincent, Marino, Bob, and Rudy DiMambro and a sister, Mary Pulire.
She worked as a housekeeper upon arrival in the United States and later worked at Clarostat Manufacturing and local shoe shops. She moved to Cochecho Park in Dover after her retirement and was known as her the building's decorator extraordinaire, especially at Christmas.
Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was happiest with a baby in her arms. She called them all "angel faces" and often could be heard singing "A Bushel and a Peck" to them. She loved crafting ornaments and gifting them...
