Everard, George Rochester- George Rollie Everard, 71, of 165 Jamey Drive, passed away peacefully, with loved ones by his side on June 1, 2010 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. Born Novemeber 7, 1938 in Marlborough, NH. He was the son of the late Ludger J. and Dasie (Stoodley) Everard. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1955 and served in the Vietnam Conflict in 1970. He later retired at Pease AFB after 20 years of service. He then worked for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in shop 38, retiring in 1993. After this George worked for Fosters Daily Democrat until his illness in 2000. George enjoyed to go on cruises and was never afraid to start up a conversation. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 7 Rochester (Past State Vice Commander)(Past District 3 Commander), VFW, Post 1772, Rochester, DAV, Chapter 23, Farmington, Somersworth Grange, Eastern NH Pomona Grange, NH State Grange and National Grange (Past Pomona Master), BPOE Lodge 1393, Rochester, & Southeast NH Bowling Association (Past President). He is survived by his wife of 52 years Frances (Ballou) Everard of Rochester. His daughters Sondra J. Farrell her husband Jay and Ronda G. Estes all from Rochester. His grandchildren Aurora Farrell, Spencer Farrell, Allissa Estes, Brittany Estes, and Cody Estes. As well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Ludger Jr. and Gordon and sister, Genivieve Jellerson. There will be no calling hours. A celebration of George's life and burial in the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
