George Ernest Nye

Nye, George Middleton- George E. Nye, 61, of 32 Pine Ridge Road died Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Concord Hospital in Concord, NH. Born October 27, 1948 in Dover, NH. He was the son of the late Kenneth N. and Irene M. (Lapanne) Nye. George served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and pool player. He was a life long member of the American Legion Post 7 in Rochester and the VFW in Rochester. He belonged to the Son's of the American Legion in Somersworth Post 8 and the Moose Lodge in Milton, NH. Members of his family include his wife of 41 years Sharon E. (Inniss) Nye of Middleton. His sons Ryan Nye and wife Amanda of Middleton and Barry Nye of Middleton. His siblings James Nye and wife Judy of Dover, Mildred Peter and husband Roger of Tennessee, Arthur Nye of Milton, Carol Nye of Milton, John Nye of Milton, Pam Browne and husband Dave of Dover and Keith Nye of Barrington. His grandson Kenneth Nye and granddaughters Deborra and Autumn Wilson. He was preceded in death by his brother Philip Nye and his sister Lucille Doherty. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 24 Beech Road, Dover, NH 03820 Friend and family are invited to visit Friday, March 26, 2010 from 12 PM to 1 PM at the R.
