Geraldine Ann Crosby

November 26, 1953 — September 3, 2024

Geraldine Ann (Malley) Crosby passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, at Wentworth Douglas Hospital in Dover, NH, after a short period of declining health.
Born on November 26th, 1953, in South Liverpool, UK, she was the youngest daughter of Martin and Kathleen (Ginnelly) Malley. Geraldine enjoyed an idyllic childhood in post-war England. Her first job was as a window dresser at Freeman's department store in Liverpool. She later moved to Newquay with friends, and in 1973 she fell in love and married a US Navy sailor. They moved to the United States, where she made a home in Strafford, NH. Geraldine lived there happily for the rest of her life.
Known for her kindness, easy conversation, and the way she made everyone feel special, Geraldine had a gift for brightening the days of those around her. She helped countless people start their mornings with a smile during her years as a waitress at the Gateway Restaurant in Lee and later at Phil's Restaurant in Barrington. To everyone who knew her, she was more than a familiar face-she was a source of warmth and comfort.
Geraldine, affectionately known as "Jerry," had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and enjoyed the quiet joys of birdwatching and spending time with family. She possessed an impeccable character, quiet inner strength, and unwavering loyalty to her loved ones, standing by them even in the most difficult times. Her kindness and warmth touched everyone who crossed her path, and she will be remembered for her gentle spirit and caring heart.
Geraldine was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Kathleen (Ginnelly) Malley, of Liverpool, UK; and her sister-in-law and close friend, Andrea Crosby, of Strafford, NH. She is survived by her lifelong love, best friend, and husband, Thomas Crosby, of Strafford; her sister, Mary, of London, UK; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends who were lucky enough to call her "Jerry" or "Aunt Gel." Her legacy of love, kindness, and steadfast friendship will be cherished by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held at her home later this month. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Stroke Association or the Pope Memorial Humane Society.
