Geraldine Hoag

Rochester NH- Geraldine J. Hoag, 81, of 42B Chamberlain Street died Thursday Aug. 25, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Born April 21, 1930 in Rochester NH she was the daughter of the late John and Doris (Hamilton) Hersom. Gerry was a lifelong resident of Rochester graduating from Spaulding High School, Class of 1948 and New England College in Henniker NH with her degree in nursing. She worked at NE Baptist 1948-1951. She also worked at Frisbee Memorial Hospital, Dr. Bonano's office; Rochester Visiting Nurses Association, Wentworth Douglass Hospital, the Wentworth Home and lastly Riverside Rest Home as night nursing supervisor. Gerry's hobbies included knitting, reading, and doing crafts. She loved all of the dogs she had during her lifetime. Known as "Doc" and "Nanny" she was a caregiver her entire life.
