Rochester NH- Gertrude M. Canney, 93, formerly of 134 Charles Street died Wednesday June 9, 2010 at the Rochester Manor after a period of failing health. She was born Nov. 11, 1916 in Jackson, NH the daughter of the late Eugene and Olivine (Landry) Tatro. She has resided in this area most of her life and had worked in our local shoe factories. Later she retired from Frisbie Memorial Hospital in the dietary department. Mrs. Canney loved to play bingo and travel and bowl. In earlier years she and her husband enjoyed square dancing. The widow of Melvin H. Canney whom she had been married to for 54 years, she is survived by grandchildren; Lisa and Jim Devereaux of St. Mary, GA., Lori and Scott Servetas and Dale and Nina Canney all of Leesburg, FL. great grandchildren, Alicia, Michael, Morgan, Alivia; great great grandchildren. Hunter and Sara; her daughter-in-law, June Canney of Milton, NH. She was predeceased by her son William M. Canney. Family and friends may visit Monday from 9:00-9:45 am at the R.M....
