Rochester, NH- Gladys Estelle Nelson, 90, formerly of 13B Felker Street died Friday Dec. 2, 2016 at the Rochester Manor after a period of failing health. She was born and raised in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late George and Gladys Estelle (Disney) Stevens. She attended the Baltimore school system and worked in a local bakery and at Pittsburgh Paint Company. Gladys worked in the medical records department for the University of Maryland Hospital. She has resided in Rochester since 1985 previously living in Severn, MD. Gladys was an active member of the Church of God where she served as Sunday school teacher, taught daily vacation Bible School, and helped in many capacities within her churches. She enjoyed crocheting all her life. The widow of Jimmie J. Nelson who died in 1987, she is survived by two sons, Rev. Wayne Nelson and Clifton R. Nelson and wife Linda; 5 grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Fay Nelson in 2014. Family and friends may visit Tuesday 10-11AM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH. The funeral service will follow at 11AM in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Nelson, Church of God, officiating.
