Gladys Pelton

Rochester- NH- Following a brief illness Gladys (Happy) Marie Pelton was called home on December 25, 2018 - born 11/27/1927 in Lewisburg, Ohio, the youngest of 6 children. While attending Miami University of Ohio with a major in Education, she was given the name "Happy" which stuck for the rest of her life. At her first job working at National Cash Register Company in Dayton, Ohio she met the love of her life Donald Pelton, who was there for training. They married September 6, 1952 and moved to Pelham, NH and raised their family. She worked as a substitute teacher in Pelham. In 1970 when Donald was transferred to Dover, working for NCR, they moved to Rochester. Happy resided there the rest of her life assisting her daughter Kim and son in-law Dan with their greenhouse and gardens. Happy and Don in 1959 bought a summer place in Denmark, ME on Hancock Pond, where she spent all her summers. After Don's retirement they purchased a place in Park City/Ft.
