Glenwood Eugene Rabideau, a singer, songwriter, musician, and former U.S. Marine, passed away surrounded by his family on March 30, 2023, at the age of 78. Born in West Stewartstown, NH, Glenn grew to love singing and making music. After serving his country in the Marines for six years during Vietnam he spent many decades in various country and rock bands throughout his life, culminating in a solo career that saw him produce two of his own country albums, "Life In A Family Of 10" and "My Baby's Baby Blues", both of which went on to earn him the title of New Hampshire's #1 Artist of the Year for each album. Glenn was always the life of the party. His smile could light up any room. He could pick up a guitar and sing you a song as easily as he breathed the air. He could tell a story and have the whole room cracking up all the way through it. He loved to cook and make big meals for guests, and he'd often make plates for other residents in his building and even deliver to their apartments. His heart of gold and warmth and love for people were prominent in everything he did in life, and his great love of family always unwavering. His example of kindness and decency and joy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him well and will continue to be a great source of inspiration. Glenn is survived by his daughters, Diane L. Boyle and her husband Jeff, and Glenda Hamling and her husband Mike. He is also survived by three sisters, Marion Brooks, Ruth Rabideau and Louise Michaud, and one brother, Alan Rabideau. Glenn also leaves behind a close nephew and caretaker, Christopher Rabideau, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Glenn was predeceased by his sons, Glenwood E. Rabideau II and Branden P. Rabideau. Glenn's funeral service will be held at the New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, New Hampshire, on Thursday, April 20th, 2023, at 2 pm. Following Glenn's funeral, also on Thursday, April 20th, 2023, his Celebration of Life will be held at the Harvest Praise Church of God in Rochester, New Hampshire, at 5:30 pm.
