Grace Anna Shiere

Barrington, NH - Grace Anna Shiere, 91, died Thursday October 11, 2012 at the Rochester Manor. Born February 12, 1921 in Hancock County Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George P. and Elnora (McClish) Chapin. Grace grew up in Ohio and attended Hancock County schools. She later went on to attend and graduate from Bowling Green State University. After her graduation she worked as a Latin and English teacher in the Ohio school systems and later moved on to the Michigan School systems. Grace had been a resident of Barrington NH for the past 30 years and was previously a resident of Durham. Grace loved classical music. A very talented piano player herself, she also enjoyed needlework and her flower gardens. Members of her family include her son, Dr. Philip Shiere and his wife Lori of Strafford NH, her daughter Lauralee Shiere of Strafford NH, and her grandchildren Antonio, Roberto and Cristina Ranno, Celynne Ambrose, Stephanie Grant, Philip Shiere Jr., Sophie and Faith Shiere.
