Rochester, NH - Guida Szczepanik 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday June 12, 2011 in the home of her son Ed and daughter-in law Kyle and grandsons Joseph, Mike and Donnie. Guida was born Feb. 5, 1918 in Shamokin PA, lived in Plainville, CT with her husband Edward Joseph of 61 years. Guida was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Holy Rosary Church, Plainville senior center and theatre, Pratt Whitney employee. Guida was a recipient of Honor That Special Woman Certificate her name placed in the Book of Honor for her exemplary lifestyle and devotion to her family and friends. Guida is survived by her Children Ruth Perrotti and Ed Szczepanik, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Grand Children Billy (A.J.- Billy), Michael (Lisa-Courtney and Erik) Dennis (Kelly- Grace) - Danielle, Gabriel (Tabitha-Mackenzie), Jessalyn (Tylere, Haylea, Chase), Stephanie (Harmony and Logan) Guida predeceased in death by her husband Edward Joseph Szczepanik, 9 siblings. "Gram" will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend to many. Gram feed us not only with cuisine but with her love fed our souls, she will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held for family and friends on Tuesday June 21, 2011 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester, NH. Service will begin at 10:30 am with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester NH, or Plainville Senior Center in Plainville CT 06062.
