Harlan Francis

ROCHESTER - Harlan Francis, 74, died Friday Oct. 9, 2009 at the Colonial Hill Nursing Home in Rochester with his wife by his side.Born Aug. 18, 1935 in Dixfield, Maine, he was the son of the late Elroy and Hazel (Briggs) Francis. As a young man he moved to Connecticut, where 35 years ago he met and married the love of his life, Christine. About 5 years ago he retired to New Hampshire, where he enjoyed nature, including the deer and turkeys that would wonder through his yard. On nice days, he would watch skydivers from his deck. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed gardening. He enjoyed visits from his grandkids, especially Jennifer, Winnie and Daniel, but he loved all his grandkids.
