Helen Grenier

Helen Grenier of East Rochester passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Wednesday August 3rd, 2022 at the age of 92.  She was born in Haverhill MA to C. Leo & Gertrude Taffe and moved to Rochester at the age of 8. She was a graduate of Spaulding High School.  She married Armand Grenier in 1950 and shared 53 wonderful and loving years with him as they raised their three children and welcomed nine grandchildren to the family.  Helen & Armand enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and being home together. Helen started working for the Rochester School Lunch Program as a cook in the 1960's. Alumni of the East Rochester Schools rave about her chocolate cake to this day!  Eventually she worked her way up the ladder to be the Food Service Director in Rochester. She truly loved the work that she did for the children of this city.
