Rochester NH-Helen T. Pickard, 84, of 14 Adrien Circle died Thursday November 22, 2012 at her home after a long illness. Born July 24, 1928 in Canterbury NH she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jennie (Sargent) Pickard. Helen has lived in Rochester for the past 15 years after moving from Concord NH. She was employed as an inspector for Sprague Electric for 12 years and Cleary Cleaners for 10 years though she spent most of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, watching soap operas, latch hooking, collecting Indian dolls and trinkets and going to country western concerts. She was a huge Red Sox fan and never missed a game. Loved and adored by family and friends, she will forever be missed. Members of her family include her daughter, Barbara A. Fortin and her husband John of Lebanon ME, her sons; Joseph Cabana and his wife Sharon of Buxton ME; and Ronald Cabana of Springvale ME, her brothers; Kenny Pickard of Warren NH, Stanley Pickard of NC and Edward Pickard of Concord NH, her sisters; Dorothy and Evelyn Green of Loudon NH, Virginia Philbrick of Canterbury NH, Bernice Grant of Epsom NH and Jeannie Skafidas of Concord NH, 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by 4 brothers; Arthur Pickard, Harold Pickard, Charles Pickard and Freddy Pickard. A memorial service will be held Saturday December 1, 2012 at 12pm with a calling hour to be held 1 hour prior in the chapel of the R.M.
