Helena Livernois

August 2, 1940 — January 26, 2011

Rochester - On January 26, 2011, in the late afternoon hours on a brisk New England winter day, heaven was presented an angel. Helena Alberta Livernois earned her well-deserved angel wings, peacefully drifting into eternal rest, with her loved ones by her side. Helena Coombs was born on August 2, 1940 in the coastal Maine township of Sidney and spent her young life there until she met her adored best friend, and the love of her life, Daniel Livernois. Upon their marriage, Helena and Daniel moved to his hometown of Brunswick Maine and began their 53 year long love affair. Soon thereafter, her life was further blessed by the births of their five cherished children and Helena joyfully embarked on her committed role of loving mother in their family home in Rochester NH. Graced with the gift of a quick wit and lighthearted disposition, Helena delighted in the simple, fun-loving pleasures of life, wrapped in the warmth of her treasured family and friends. If not in her cozy kitchen, filled with the familiar aroma of her infamous 'apple rolly polly' or 'haystacks', she could be found enjoying old movie classics, patiently piecing together an intricate puzzle, or tending to her whimsical flower garden while gazing at her tiny fluttery friends, with a beaming smile upon her lovely face. Her divine memory will forever live on in her heartbroken husband, Daniel, and children Daniel and his fiance' Julie Anne of Haverhill MA, Barbara of Rochester NH, Virginia and her husband Carlton of Columbus GA, Teresa and her husband Jeff of Port St. Lucie FL, and Mark and his wife Susan of New Braunfels, TX. She is also survived by her brother Milton Coombs, several beloved grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 30th between 2 and 4 p.m. with a memorial service honoring Helena's life immediately following at The R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. in Rochester NH. Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Rochester, NH.
