Helene Carle

Helene Carle, 72, of Dover, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on July 17, 2022. Helene grew up in Somersworth, NH where she attended Somersworth High School. During her high school years she was a very active member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She belonged to Dover Assembly #14 where she held many offices including Worthy Advisor. Helene graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 1971 with a BS in Elementary Education. While at USM she became a founding member in Phi Mu Sorority. After graduating, she married her husband of 51 years, Paul. They settled in Dover where they raised their two girls. Helene taught first and second grade at Eliot Elementary School in Maine for 36 years before retiring. In retirement, she substituted at St. Mary Academy in Dover for 10 years.
