Gonic, NH- Herbert C. Emmons, 87, of Felker Street passed away early Monday February 26 at Frisbie Hospital after a brief illness. 
Born April 14, 1930, Herbert was the son of the late Clarence and Isadore (Arey) Emmons. 
Herbert served in the U.S. Army. He also worked as a handyman and maintenance man during his life. In the 1970s, Herbert operated a private airport and was a flight instructor in Norridgewock, ME. He moved to Rochester in 1978 and spent over 20 years with his long term companion, Ruth Beaulieu. He was a proud member of the NRA and loved to build and fly model airplanes. 
Herbert is survived by his two sons Mark and Steven Emmons; his brother Douglas Emmons; his stepdaughter Mary Beth LaRocque; grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter Terry Emmons, his brother Franklin Emmons during childhood, his sister Patricia Braley, and his companion Ruth Beaulieu. 
At his request, there will be no services.
