Strafford NH-Herbert H. Scribner,74, of Parker Mountain highway died Friday January 13 at his home after a long illness. Born August 20, 1942 in Rochester he was the son of the late Virgil and Wilmer (Harvey) Scribner Herb is a lifelong resident of Strafford. He served in the United States Army. He owned and operated Scribner Sand and Gravel for 50 years. He was a member of the 3rd Baptist Church of Strafford, life member of Sons of the Revolutionary War. He loved his old cars and being a member of the NH Antiques Car Club, loved haying his fields and fishing trips to Washington and Labrador.
